Clu Gulager (1928-2022) was born William Martin Gulager. His father nicknamed him "Clu" after
a couple of clu-clu birds they had nesting at their home. He is part Cherokee Indian, related to actor, Will Rogers.
Clu had just been acting in movies a few years ago. His son, John Gulager, is a film director.
Clu Gulager was also known as Billy The Kid from The Tall Man (1960).
Sadly, Clu Gulager has just died at the age of 93.

Ross Elliott (1917-1999) was born Elliott Blum to Russian Jewish parents.
He played Sheriff Abbott on The Virginian from 1962-1971.
Elliott was also Jack Benny’s director on The Jack Benny Program (1950).
He was a character actor who played many supporting roles. He died in 1999 at the age of 82.


Harlan Warde (1917-1980) was born Harlan Ward Lufkin.
He played Sheriff John Brannan in Season 3 and 4 of The Virginian (1971).
He made five guest appearances on Perry Mason (1957) and
was on the second pilot of Columbo (1971): Ransom For A Dead Man.
He died in 1980 at only the age of 62.
